A driver was killed in a head-on collision in Spartanburg County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Soldiers said the crash happened around 6 p.m. Monday on US 176 near Brown Road. A car crossed the center line of US 176 and crashed into an SUV, the soldiers said. According to the soldiers, the driver of the SUV died in hospital. It is not known if the driver was wearing a seat belt. The driver of the car was injured and was taken to hospital, soldiers said. This driver was wearing a seat belt.
