Hayes crash live: Updates as elderly man rushed to hospital after two-car collision
A man has been rushed to a heart attack center after an accident in west London this afternoon. Emergency services rushed to the scene on North Hyde Road in Hounslow shortly after 1pm on June 19. Social media footage shows an air ambulance, paramedics and police vehicles at the scene.
A Met Police spokesperson told MyLondon: ‘Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 1.23pm on Sunday June 19 to reports of a collision involving two vehicles on North Hyde Road in Hounslow. Officers attended The scene. A man has been taken to hospital. . We are awaiting an update on his condition.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: ‘We were called at 1.14pm today (June 19) to reports of a road traffic accident in North Hyde Road, Hayes.
“We sent an ambulance, two paramedics in rapid response cars and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched the Air Ambulance from London. The first paramedic arrived in less than seven minutes.
“We treated an elderly patient at the scene and took him, by road, to a heart attack center as a matter of priority.”
Traffic monitoring website Inrix reports that the A312 The Parkway Northbound is closed, with queues due to the crash between the A437 North Hyde Road and Bilton Way.
There are traffic jams at the Jolly Waggoners roundabout above the M4 junction and southbound queues back to Ossie Garvin. Roads through Southall are heavily congested as people turn away.
London bus routes 195 and E6 are being diverted. A social media user said she was stuck in traffic for more than 30 minutes following the incident.
