One injured in bicycle collision on Sanderson Avenue [Hemet, CA]
A collision on Sanderson Avenue left a cyclist in critical condition
HEMET, Calif. (January 24, 2022) – A collision between a vehicle and a bicycle on Sanderson Avenue on Friday left one person in critical condition.
The incident happened around 11:24 p.m. at the intersection of Sanderson Avenue and Devonshire Avenue.
Also, according to reports, a blue Toyota Camry traveling southbound passed a green light.
Eventually, the vehicle crashed into the victim’s bicycle.
Meanwhile, responding officers found the cyclist unresponsive, but still breathing.
Therefore, doctors rushed the man to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Hemet police described the victim as a Hispanic male between the ages of 15 and 18, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds.
The Camry driver remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
