One injured in motorcycle collision on State Route 99E – Red Bluff Daily News

DAIRYVILLE — A collision between a motorcycle and a car near Dairyville on Saturday evening left a man seriously injured.

Bradley Mitchell Nugent, 37, of Red Bluff, was riding in his 1987 Harley Davidson around 5:30 p.m. Saturday when he entered State Route 99E north of Andrews Street, according to Omar Valdez, public information officer for the California Highway Patrol.

At the same time, 23-year-old Baylee Dean Smith of Red Bluff was traveling south on 99E in a 2002 Ford Mustang.

The motorcycle entered the freeway right in front of the Mustang and caused them to collide, Valdez said.

Nugent was taken to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital with serious injuries.

Other Incidents

The CHP responded to an injury collision early Thursday on South Avenue in Corning.

Rachel Ann, 36, of Corning, was traveling east on South Avenue in a 2018 Dodge Ram around 2:40 a.m., Valdez said. Corning’s David Gallow was also traveling east on South Avenue in a 2012 Mercedes ahead of Ann.

As the Mercedes came to a stop, Valdez said the Dodge Ram collided with it.

Ann complained of ankle and foot pain. Gallow said he had chest and neck pain. Both were transported to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital.
